Grant Guidelines
The Regional Multicultural Magnet School Educational Foundation
was formed in 1998 to provide support for the Regional Multicultural
Magnet School (RMMS). The RMMS Foundation is a not-for-profit
organization that serves the students of RMMS but it is a separate
entity.
The
mission of the foundation is to promote and enhance excellence
in education at RMMS by providing independent financial support
for innovative projects.
The goals
for the foundation are to:
- provide
funding for worthy educational projects, enrichment programs
and other educational initiatives
- provide
a means for friends of multicultural education to channel contributions
to RMMS
- work
in cooperation with the Magnet School community to identify
and evaluate educational needs of RMMS
- enable
alumni of RMMS to continue involvement and support for the school
The Foundation
responds to financial needs in the RMMS community that aren't
covered by the school's budget. The process begins with proposals
submitted by an RMMS community member, including parents, caregivers
on behalf of the students. The proposals are reviewed by our Board
of Directors and funded to the extent our annual budget allows.
After the board meeting you will be notified by letter of grant
approval or denial.
- An
applicant is limited to the submission of one grant application
per calendar year regardless if the previous application was
approved or denied.
- Please
provide all information requested.
- The
Foundation requires one (1) original complete typed application
with supporting materials. We cannot accept email applications.

the grant application by October 15th
