generous contributions from friends of RMMS, the Foundation has
supported approximately ten projects annually. Since 1998 these
grants have totaled $160,500.

For the 2006-2007
school year, the RMMS Foundation awarded $17,378 to support educational
programs at the Regional Multicultural Magnet School. Below are
a few samples of projects that were supported by the RMMS Foundation:
Nature's
Classroom, $4,000. This grant provided scholarships to 4th and
5th grade students to attend this hands-on, science-based program
that helps students realize the importance and fragility of the
environment around them and the impact they can have.
Poetry
in Motion, $500. This was a school-wide literacy event focusing
on celebrating poetry. In addition to fostering academic growth,
the event supports RMMS' multicultural mission and social goals.
For the 2005-06
school year, the following projects were supported by the foundation
